The images, that I'm attracted to paint often is truly art for the senses, deeply rooted in nature, inspired by God and colored by my vision and ability to transform an everyday scene into a dynamic affirmation of life. I'm drawn to the strong interplay of light and shadow in my vignettes. The vignettes invariably bring me to acknowledge a Divine presence.
My work has evolved from experiences as an undergraduate at The University of Kansas receiving a B.F.A. From Kansas, I moved to New York City to work as a freelance artist and graphic designer. Later seventeen years in the Chicago area I ventured into the area of trompe l'oeil for show case homes and businesses. I have enjoyed traveling to France, Italy ,England and various other local regions to experience various workshops by world renown artist whom have stretched me as an artist
Our family move to North Carolina 18 years ago has returned me to painting a wide subject matter ranging from landscapes, figures and still life's. I have enjoyed painting in several mediums including oils, watercolor and recently acrylics. Many of my pieces are influenced by recent travels and memorabillia from various travels.
