I've been making pottery on and off for 30 years. An open studio at college sparked my interest, and then an apprenticeship with Jim Pringle gave me a solid foundation of skills. In 1999, I found a place in the Red Clay Coop in Carrboro, NC. Lessons from Barbara Higgins and workshops with Cynthia Bringle have moved me to more experimentation with form and decoration.
Making pots puts me in touch with essential elements - clay, water, and fire, and I love the process of centering and turning. I intend my pottery to work, look and feel good.
