Before I was a painter, I was a writer and before that a weaver. Painting I think found me and let me combine stories with my love of color and patterns.
I am not a trained painter so I have no rules to follow except my own. I love the thought of a blank canvas where I can create whatever is in my imagination letting the painting tell me what to do. I am a colorist often using the paint right out of the tube or mixing new colors that delight me. I am proud of my ability to share my paintings with others and especially with children in hospitals and clinics. My paintings have homes all over the map and in clinics, hospitals, corporations and animal clinics. I live in Carrboro part of the year and in St Petersburg Fl. During the winter.
In 2017 I illustrated a children's book titled: Tall Tales as Told by Buster A. Bichon, now available on Amazon.com.
